Advancing Leadership Dialogue in Greece: A Strategic Gathering of Political, Diplomatic and Global Leadership
Advancing Leadership Dialogue in Greece: A Strategic Gathering of Political, Diplomatic and Global Leadership

The launch of the Greece Country Political Leadership Wing of G100 was marked by its first Diplomatic Meeting in Athens, convening distinguished policymakers, diplomats, ambassadors, institutional representatives, and global leadership stakeholders.

This high-level gathering highlighted the importance of women in political and cross-sector leadership, while setting the foundation for a strong and active leadership ecosystem in Greece, contributing to a broader global positive chain reaction.

Aligned with the vision of G100 and the Women Economic Forum, the initiative focuses on building an inclusive leadership ecosystem across key sectors, including entrepreneurship, technology, humanity and innovation, mental health resilience, and the harmonization of male and female leadership — independent of political affiliations, religious doctrines, or any form of discrimination.

Representing the Global Advisory Council (Humanity, Technology & Innovation), Maria Militsopoulou presented the strategic direction for Greece, emphasizing the development of a dynamic national network that bridges generations and supports a smooth transition into the evolving digital era.

Key priorities highlighted:

• Mental resilience as a leadership capability

• Human-centered integration of technology

• Leadership collaboration as a driver of sustainable impact

A defining moment of the event was the transition from dialogue to meaningful alliance.

In this context, the presence of Demetris Skourides, Chief Scientist of Cyprus and Member of the Global Advisory Council (Humanity, Technology & Innovation), participating in his capacity as a Denim (HeForShe) partner of Mrs. Militsopoulou, reflected in practice the leadership model being advocated.

The joint presence conveyed a clear message: that effective leadership today requires intentional collaboration between male and female leaders, grounded in shared vision and responsibility.
